The Hindu Meet Greet and Match is valued part of the Philadelphia Ganesh Festival — a cherished 12-day celebration honoring Lord Ganesha.
For over two decades, the festival has been a cornerstone of our Hindu community, bringing together thousands of families in devotion, celebration, and Sewa. Many children from the Philadelphia area have grown up through their participation and volunteerism, building lifelong friendships and strong community bonds.
In this spirit of unity, Hindu Meet, Greet & Match offers like-minded Hindu young adults and individuals a trusted platform to meet, connect, and explore the possibility of finding a potential life partner.
There is no pressure to find a match — just an opportunity to meet new people, have fun, and stay hopeful with Lord Ganesha’s blessings.

When was the event took place?
Hindu Milan was held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bharatiya Temple Auditorium during Philadelphia Ganesh Festival.

Is there a registration or attendance fee?
No. Hindu Milan is a complimentary community service sponsored by Bharatiya Temple and the Philadelphia Ganesh Festival (PGF). There is no registration or attendance fee.
How do I know whether I am registered?
If you completed the registration form and received a confirmation email, your registration has been recorded. If you are already included in an event-related email thread, you are most likely registered. Please contact the organizing team if you would like confirmation.
Is there a dress code?
There is no formal dress code. However, because the event is being held at a temple, participants are encouraged to dress respectfully and presentably. Traditional Indian attire or smart casual clothing would both be appropriate.
What should I expect at the event?
Hindu Milan is intended to provide a welcoming, respectful, and comfortable environment where Hindu singles can meet, interact, and get to know one another. More information about introductions, activities, and the event format will be emailed closer to the event.
Are parents or other family members allowed to attend?
No. To help participants interact openly and enjoy the experience without pressure or restrictions, the meeting is only for registered candidates. Parents and other family members will not be permitted inside the candidate meeting area.
Why is there an age range for applicants?
The age range helps the organizers create a focused and comfortable environment for participants who are generally at similar stages of life. It also helps maintain an appropriate and manageable participant group. The age requirement is an event-planning guideline and is not intended to judge anyone’s individual circumstances.
Are participants classified or matched according to caste?
No. PGF does not classify, separate, or match participants based on caste. Hindu Milan welcomes eligible Hindu candidates without caste-based categorization.
Participants who consider caste or a particular community background important may respectfully discuss their preferences directly with someone they meet. Such conversations and decisions remain entirely personal to the candidates involved.
Can I receive a participant list before or after the event?
No. To protect everyone’s privacy and safety, PGF will not distribute an offline or electronic list of participants or their personal information.
The purpose of the event is to provide a safe, in-person environment where candidates can meet and interact. Participants may exchange contact information directly when both individuals feel comfortable doing so.
Will my registration information be shared with other participants?
Personal registration information will not be distributed as a participant directory. During the event, you may choose what information you wish to share with another candidate. Please exchange contact details only when both parties are comfortable.
Can I arrange another meeting after the event?
Yes. If you meet someone and both of you agree to continue the conversation, you may arrange another meeting outside the event. You may also introduce your families and make your own arrangements independently.
If you feel comfortable doing so, the PGF team would appreciate hearing about any positive progress resulting from Hindu Milan.
Am I required to exchange my contact information?
No. Sharing contact information is completely voluntary. Participants should exchange phone numbers, email addresses, or social-media information only with mutual consent.
What should I bring?
Please bring a valid photo ID and any event confirmation information requested in the final instructions. You may also bring a small notebook or use your phone to privately record the contact information of people who agree to stay connected.
What behavior is expected from participants?
All participants are expected to communicate respectfully, honor personal boundaries, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Persistent or unwanted communication, inappropriate conduct, or pressure to share personal information will not be accepted.
Will food or refreshments be provided?
Information concerning meals or refreshments will be included in the final event instructions.
May I take photographs or videos during the event?
To protect participants’ privacy, please do not photograph or record another participant without their clear permission. The organizers will provide any event-specific photography guidelines before or during the program.
What if I register but later cannot attend?
Please notify the organizing team as soon as possible so that the event can be planned accurately and another interested candidate may be accommodated if space is limited.
Can I arrive late or leave early?
Participants are encouraged to attend the complete program so they have the best opportunity to meet everyone. If you expect to arrive late or leave early, please notify the organizing team beforehand.
